Excel to manage your cash by hand for the next 13 weeks

Receipts and payments, week by week

You enter by hand your sales and customer receipts, pending invoices, direct debits, payroll and social security, suppliers, rent, taxes, and loan, leasing and renting instalments.

Cash alerts

The «Alerta» (alert) row flags in red the weeks with negative cash and in orange those that fall below your minimum cash buffer.

Summary of your 13 weeks

Closing balance in week 13, the lowest balance and the week it hits, and how many weeks you'll be negative or below your buffer.

How to use it

Fill it in, in 4 steps

Enter your starting figures

In the yellow cells: your company name, the Monday of week 1, your opening cash balance across all your banks and the minimum cash buffer you want to keep.

Replace the examples

Replace the sample amounts (in blue) with your expected receipts and payments for each week, in euros and as positive numbers.

Adapt it to your business

If you need another line, rename the ones labelled «Otros cobros» or «Otros pagos», without touching the cells with formulas.

Check the alerts

Look at the closing balance and the «Alerta» row to see which weeks to watch and act early: move a payment, bring forward a receipt or arrange financing.

Frequently asked questions

What is a 13-week cash flow forecast?+
It is a cash forecast with weekly detail for the next three months: how much you will collect, how much you will pay and the balance you will end each week with.
Why 13 weeks?+
Because 13 weeks make up a quarter: the ideal horizon to manage liquidity day to day without losing the weekly detail.
Is the template free?+
Yes. Leave your email in the form and we will send it to you right away. The template is in Spanish.
How often should I update it?+
Ideally every Monday: roll off the week that has ended, enter your real bank balance as the opening balance and add a new week at the end.
What mistakes should I avoid?+
Entering receipts on the due date instead of the week your customer actually pays, and forgetting payments that are not monthly: quarterly VAT and tax withholdings, extra pay or annual insurance.
What if I don't want to fill it in by hand?+
With Orama this forecast fills itself in: connect your banks (100% of banks in Spain and 3,000+ across Europe and Latin America), your transactions are downloaded up to 4 times a day and your receipts and payments are projected. You can try it free for 7 days.
