a3innuva doesn’t fall short for bookkeeping and invoicing, but it isn’t built to tell you how much cash you’ll have in each week of the coming months across all your banks. That’s where Orama comes in: it receives your a3innuva invoices, receipts and payments as soon as they change, matches them against your banks and builds your cash flow forecast, without changing the way you work in a3innuva.
If your company (or your accountancy firm) works with a3innuva but you still track cash in a spreadsheet, this article covers what a3innuva does well, which part of cash management it leaves out, what data Orama syncs, what you need to connect it and how it all works for an example SME.
What a3innuva does well and what it doesn’t cover on cash
a3innuva, from Wolters Kluwer, lets a company and its accountant work on the same accounting data in the cloud. It’s excellent for closing the month and filing taxes; the cash forecast for the coming weeks is left out.
| Topic | What a3innuva does well | What cash management also needs |
|---|---|---|
| Shared data | Company and accounting firm see the same books. | That same information serves to forecast cash, not just to close the books. |
| Invoices | Records issued and received invoices in a3factura or a3innuva Contabilidad. | Turn them into expected collections and payments as soon as they’re created. |
| Collections and payments | Records when each invoice is collected or paid. | The forecast updates at that moment, without waiting for a scheduled load. |
| Banks | Books bank transactions. | See today’s balance across all banks, updated up to 4 times a day. |
| Horizon | Works on the accounting period. | Look at the next 13 weeks and up to 24 months, with scenarios. |
What Orama syncs from a3innuva, and how often
- Issued and received invoices.
- Receipts and payments.
Data arrives as soon as it changes: a3innuva notifies Orama of every update, with no need to wait for a scheduled sync. On the bank side, Orama connects your accounts read-only and matches each transaction to the invoice that came from a3innuva; most of them (80–95%) reconcile with no intervention.

Example: a distributor whose accountants work in a3innuva
Suministros Guadalquivir (anonymised name) is a electrical supplies distributor in Seville with an annual turnover of €3.5M. It invoices with a3factura, and its accountancy firm keeps the books in a3innuva Contabilidad. It works with four banks, collects at 60 days and has a €200,000 credit facility. Until now, the forecast was a spreadsheet the finance director rebuilt every month from reports sent over by the accountants.
With Orama, a3innuva is connected and all four banks are authorised. Every issued or received invoice comes in straight away as an expected receipt or payment, and each bank transaction is matched to its invoice.
In September, the forecast shows that the week of 20 October brings the quarterly VAT payment (€70,000), the payment to the main manufacturer (€180,000) and a loan instalment, all at once, while half of August’s receipts slip into November because customers were on holiday. That week, cash drops to €20,000 even after drawing on the credit facility. With six weeks’ notice, the finance director starts chasing the three biggest customers early and agrees with the manufacturer to split the payment in two.
